The Foundation and Key Stage One Teaching Team is made up of Mrs Bray and Mrs Wakefield (Ash Class) and Miss Roberts (Willow Class). Mrs Bray specialises in Early Years, Mrs Wakefield specialises in Mathematics and Miss Roberts also specialises in Early Years.

Kentisbeare Primary School Foundation Unit provides a safe, stimulating play environment which supports children’s learning both indoors and outdoors.  It caters for the individual child. It is a purpose built setting for preschool and reception age children.  It is run by a very caring staff team.

In Year 1 children extend and consolidate their learning through both independent and teacher guided activities.

Our experienced Foundation and KS1 teachers plan closely together, ensuring the teaching and learning provides continuity and progression.  These classes embrace the schools Christian ethos through Creative Arts and PSHE focusing on ourselves, our community and the wider world.
