Upper Key Stage Two

In Upper Key Stage Two we are fostering greater independence so that we enable our children to be well equipped for their onward transition to secondary school.

This term the Upper Key Stage Two children are focussing on Why Henry VIII is such a memorable king. This will be history, RE and arts led. Outdoor learning for Year 6 will be Friday and Wednesday for Year 5. This term both classes will also be swimming as part of their physical education lessons.

The teaching team in Upper KS2 comprises of Mrs Hopkins in Year Five and Mr Rodgers in Year Six.

Teaching and provision is delivered thematically across a range of topics throughout the year, and through planning together we ensure progression across the Upper Key Stage. Mrs Hopkins is mathematics coordinator for the school and has an interest in MFL and history.  Mr Rodgers has a specialism in physical education, he also has an interest in mathematics and using technology to enhance childrens' learning.
