Head of School Welcome

Kentisbeare Photo

A very warm welcome to Kentisbeare Primary School!

I hope you enjoy exploring our school through the website, and that it gives you a flavour of what we are about.

We have high aspirations for our children.  We want them to become the very best they can be.  Through offering a safe and stimulating environment, we aim to provide rich and engaging opportunities where children develop their natural curiosity and achieve their potential. We have a strong reputation for sporting success - and we also place importance on the creative elements of the curriculum, such as music, art and drama. We want every child to feel that their interests and talents are nurtured.

We are set in beautiful grounds within the Culm Valley.  The children regularly experience Outdoor Learning, where they are able to use the extensive grounds and learn about the outdoors, as well as taking other curriculum learning outside.  We have a quiet Glade area for reflection and the opportunity to perform plays on the outdoor stage, a large willow dome, a story telling area set in woodland and a large open field and a tarmacked playground.

As a Church of England school, we have a strong partnership with the local churches.  We have regular collective worship led by the local clergy and assisted by the children.

Communication is a priority for us as we know that good relationships between school and home can lead to better outcomes for our children. We have a pro-active Ethos committee who work with us on school improvement as well as a thriving and dynamic fundraising committee (The KSA).

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. Should you wish to arrange a visit, please call the office and I would be delighted to show you around.

Mrs. Danielle Joyce
