Head of School Welcome

Welcome! I hope you enjoy exploring our website and discovering what we have to offer at Kentisbeare C of E Primary School.

We have very high aspirations for the children in our charge and for ourselves. Our aims are simple: we wish to provide each child at our school with rich, memorable experiences that develop their curiosity and allow them to learn to their full potential, all in a caring, nurturing environment where respect, good manners and effort are highly valued. We are a Church of England Primary School and Christian values underpin our aims.

Our thriving village school is set in beautiful grounds, with a meadow-like playing field, a quiet garden, living willow domes, a large tarmac playground and an adventure play area. Outdoor learning plays a big part in the way we deliver and enrich the curriculum: we were recently awarded a Gold Medal in the ‘Learning Outside the Classroom awards’ (the only school in the South-west to receive that honour). The school currently has six classes in addition to a Foundation Unit for 3-5 year olds.

We benefit from close working relationships with a supportive community: home-school links are excellent, whilst our parent-teacher partnership, the KSA, is a dynamic fundraising body.

“We feel very happy that our children can attend Kentisbeare School. We are very pleased with how they are being taught and the amazing teachers, assistants and support staff who are always on hand if we need to speak to them.”

I would be delighted if you wished to visit us and sample our learning culture. Please contact the office to make an appointment to do just that!
