Welcome to Kentisbeare School Association

We are the Kentisbeare School Association, the KSA, for the academic year 2016/2017. The KSA is

essentially a parent led group that raises funds for the school (please see some of our recent contributions

on the back) but also organises social events for parents, staff and pupils throughout the academic year. We

are always interested in new members and, as we are a new Committee for this year, would like to

introduce ourselves:

Sandra Clifford, Chair

Natalie Breakspear, Treasurer

Sally Kazer, Secretary

If you don’t catch us at the school gate, we can be contacted via e-mail: KSAnews@outlook.com

We have a number of events on the calendar already (please see the enclosed, giving dates for the Autumn

and Spring terms) – we will be adding these to our facebook page also. The facebook page is not public but

all parents are very welcome to join – to do so please e-mail us: KSAnews@outlook.com

The first date is a ‘Welcome Meeting’, to be held at the school after pick up on Friday 23rd September.

Please come along – for all parents but especially those new to the school, or those who have new starters

this academic year. We will provide tea and cake and a chance to meet other new parents.

The KSA makes a real contribution to Kentisbeare School – this only happens with the support of the staff,

parents and the wider community. Some of the recent contributions made include the following:

£970 for books, £1420 for the Junior Librarian, £980 for swimming coach subsidy, £170 for the Charanga

Musical license, £2350 for the new playground, Christmas lunch £200.

In addition to the ongoing contributions made by the KSA to the school, we have been asked this year to

focus our efforts on fundraising for new ICT equipment this year – more information to follow.

Thank you for your continuous support.
