Welcome to Kentisbeare School!
A warm welcome to all families that have children starting at Kentisbeare School in September. You may be a family already linked to our school or you may be new, but either way welcome to our school community and we are delighted that you have chosen Kentisbeare School for your child's education.
To learn more about the learning opportunities, enrichment and curriculum provided in Reception at Kentibeare, please click the ‘Early Years’ tab on this school website.
You should have received a welcome letter from us (which can also be found below) and an invitation to a ‘class dojo’ page, via email, which will be updated and checked regularly.
You will be able to contact Mrs Joyce (Head of School) and Miss Lunn (Early Years Leader) via the dojo page. You can also contact us by email:
The school office is open from 8.40 to 3.30 should you wish to speak to a member of staff: 01884 266330.
As a parent at Kentisbeare School, you are automatically part of our KSA (Kentisbeare School Association). The KSA are fantastic and continue to raise funds for our children throughout the school calendar year. So far this year they have provided educational workshops for children, music equipment and reading books just to name a few. Talk a look at the KSA tab on the website to find out more information and how you could get involved.
The document below, what to expect when, is fantastic for seeing where your child is and the sorts of things we would be asking them to do at school. Take a look and see what you think, there might be a few activities there that you want to work on or have a go at and try at home.
Kentisbeare School : School Uniform
Our school uniform colour is green. You can buy our uniform from Wovina by clicking here and choosing 'Kentisbeare School' or through Tesco. You can get your child's name embroidered under the logo. Children wear green school jumpers or cardigans along with a white polo top. Children can also wear green summer dresses, black or grey school pinafores, skirts, trousers or shorts. Children should also wear school shoes that are black, we do ask for no sandals please. For PE sessions, children have a green polo top, again you can get this embroidered with your child's surname on, black PE shorts and trainers (preferably not plimsolls- trainers are easier to run in). You can buy an optional PE hoodie if you wish. We do ask that every item of clothing in your child's PE kit is clearly named.
